About Department

Welcome to the Department of Metals and Corrosion Engineering

Metals are the foundation of modern civilization, from smartphones and medical implants to bridge structures and historical monuments. At our department, we combine traditional metallurgy with cutting-edge technologies, such as 3D metal printing and the development of biocompatible materials for medicine.

Our mission is not only to create and improve metals, but also to protect them. We are a leading research center in the field of corrosion engineering, where we seek ways to extend the service life of materials and prevent their deterioration. At the same time, with respect for tradition, we preserve our cultural heritage through cutting-edge research in the conservation and restoration of metal monuments.
